Análisis del éxito y fracaso de tratamientos endodónticos: evaluación clínica y radiográfica.

Resumen


Se pretende identificar la influencia que tienen sobre el éxito o fracaso del
tratamiento de endodoncia ciertos factores biológicos y terapéuticos asociados a éste.


Los pacientes tratados con un período postoperatorio de 5 y 10 años y que cumplieran con los requisitos establecidos para el estudio fueron evaluados clínica y radiográficamente, un total de 114 piezas tratadas endodónticamente equivalente a 207 raíces. De las cuales, 94 piezas fueron consideradas como éxito, 13 fracaso y 7 fueron considerados casos dudosos (82.5%, 11.4% y 6.1%, respectivamente); mientras que de las 207 raíces, 173 fueron evaluadas como éxito, 26 fracaso y 8 como casos dudosos (83.6%, 12.6% y 3.8%, respectivamente).
